Hello everybody! As many of you may already know, I recently finished Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. It took me over a month to read and I’ve spent the last two weeks thinking about how I was going to rate this book. Most may think, how hard could it be to rate a book? Well for me, Outlander was a tough one. There were many moments where I was really into to the novel while other moments, I avoided it. I also read two other books while reading this book. So that may have been another reason why it took me so long to finish. But, I’ve finally come up with a final answer and I am ready to wrap up my journey with this book. So without further ado, here’s my review!

Review:
So even though I gave it 3.75 stars instead of giving it all five stars, I still loved it. It was such an amazing book with so many historical references that I couldn’t help but fall in love with it. I really love learning about past world history and Outlander definitely helped me learn more about the Jacobite Rising. Even though I am still fairly young, I love giving myself a good challenge by reading an adult book. This book was really amazing and I really wish that more people start reading this series.

While reading this book, I felt as if I was living in 1743 Scotland in the land of lairds and mistresses. Claire was such an easy character to follow and I can’t wait to continue through time with her. Though I did not like her first husband, Frank, I did love Jamie. Ah Jamie Fraser. The red-headed laird of Lallybroch. He was so lovely to read about. I would definitely pick Jamie as one of my favorite characters. He is so sweet and kind, even when he gets angry.
Black Jack Randall is officially my favorite villain. Though I do not like him, he was such an interesting character to read about. He was so mean and sent so much hatred towards Claire. But, he was an amazing portrayal of a villain. He was malicious and snobby and everything that a good book needs as a villain.
I highly suggest this book for anyone who really like history. It will amaze you how much detail Diana adds to her novels!
