I’ve Been Blogging For Two Years?! | Rapid Fire Book Tag

Hey everyone! I was notified while writing up a post last night that today is my blog’s two year anniversary. Before I jumped into typing up this post, I think I just sat on my bed in a bit of shock. It really doesn’t feel like it’s only been two years. It feels like I’ve been blogging for a decade about books. I’ve come so far with this blog and I am so excited to take it even further in future years!

SO, today I am going to be doing the Rapid Fire Book Tag. I wasn’t tagged for this, but I thought that it would be a great way to get to know me even better. I originally saw this post on The Bibliophile Girl, and am so excited to get started. So, 3, 2, 1, GOOOOO!

E-Book Or Physical Book?
Definitely physical! I love being able to flip through the pages, be able to smell that unique smell of books and leave my mark on the book with tears.

Paperback Or Hardback?
I love them both, but I have to go with paperbacks, especially a floppy one. They are affordable, comfortable to hold and easy to bring on the go!

Online Or In-Store Book Shopping?
In-store! I love looking at all of the spines, check out new books and simply sit down and preview some chapters before I buy it. I also don’t online shop too often.

Trilogies Or Series?
Both. I would regret choosing one or the other.

Heroes Or Villains?
Heroes. Although I have read about some really good villains, there’s just something about a good “hero saves the day” novel that gets too me. And even, I do love a good happily ever after.

A Book You Want Everyone To Read?
Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout. It’s getting a little bit harder to find these days, but definitely head to your local bookstore and check it out. It’s a mix of paranormal, sci-fi, romance, book bloggers and DAEMON BLACK!

Recommend An Underrated Author?
Both Jennifer L. Armentrout and Wendy Higgins. They aren’t too underrated, but they definitely aren’t as hyped as Cassandra Clare. But they are both amazing and I ALWAYS recommend their books.

The Last Book You Finished?
Every Last Breath by Jennifer L. Armentrout. It was absolutely amazing and I am planning to have a review up next Sunday!

Weirdest Thing You’ve Used As A Bookmark?
I have been in those “where did my book mark go?” situations WAY too many times. But, one of the weirdest things I’ve used are Kleenexes. Is that weird?

Used Books: Yes Or No?
Yes, but they have to be in really good condition. Classics can be a little beat up, but I am really strict with YA and Adult books. They can’t have a broken spine, no scratches, etc.

Top Three Favourite Genres?
Well, my all-time favorite genre is paranormal romance. Nothing beats it. Coming in behind it would probably be urban fantasy and contemporary!

Borrow Or Buy?
Buy! I probably should hold off on buying books for a while since I am running REALLY LOW on space. But I love owning them and having a bookshelf full of books. I actually don’t remember the last time I borrowed a book.

Character Or Plot?
Characters. There have been many books, alike The Raven Boys, where I didn’t totally care for the story, but I loved the characters. If I loved the characters enough, I will read through a bad plot.

Long Or Short Books?
Usually depends on both my free time and mood. But, ideally it’s something in between. I usually really enjoy a 350 – 400 page book.

Name The First Three Books You Think Of
Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout, Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell and The Thousandth Floor by Katherine McGee. I don’t even own half of these books.

Books That Make You Laugh Or Cry?
I love a good laugh, but I always end up crying more often. And when I cry, I am an absolute mess. But I love when authors add some comedy into their novels with sarcastic jokes and such.

Our World Or Fictional?
Is this even a question? FICTIONAL! If my reality was me with special powers, no homework and hot men who like me, then maybe I would choose our world.

Audiobooks: Yes Or No?
Nope. the last one I listened to I was completely lost. I was so lost that I had to go back and re-read the whole book to actually love it.

Do You Ever Judge A Book By Its Cover?

All the time! There is absolutely no such thing as NOT judging a book by its cover. If you see it and have never heard of it, you are definitely going to judge that cover.

Book To Movie Or Book To TV?
Book to movie. I have a huge tendency to lose interest in a TV show so a 2 hour movie is definitely the better option for me.

A Movie Or TV Show That You Preferred To The Book?
Okay, I think the only one has been Breaking Dawn Part I and II. There was too much Jacob in the book so i definitely preferred the movie.

Series Or Standalones?
Series, since I always finding myself craving MORE from standalones.

And that is it for today’s post. Once again, thank you so much for helping me make these past two years amazing! I hope that you all were able to get to know my reading tastes slightly better with today’s post. Did you relate to any of my answers? Let’s chat in the comments.
