Teaser Tuesday #38

Hey everyone! How has your week been going? School is still extremely boring, but I am starting to get back into my reading schedule. I missed my beloved reading time, and I am so excited to start reading close to 50 pages every school day! I mean, I think I deserve it after a long day of school work.

I am currently reading an ARC that actually releases today. I planned to read it next month since I thought it released in November, but turns out it actually releases today. SO, I am a little late to it, but that’s okay. It’s Sci-Fi, it’s reminding me of These Broken Stars and I’m really enjoying it. So, let’s get into the teaser!

“Regardless, if you’re not the killer, then you’re nothing but a sitting duck right here. At the rate people are dying and going missing, no one is going to make it forty days. That’s why I like twenty. Numbers, people. I’m telling you.”

Page 79, Achilles by Greg Boose

So yep, I am currently reading Achilles by Greg Boose. I was contacted last month by Diversion Publicity about this book and I was IN the moment I read the synopsis. I mean, they literally promoted it as perfect for fans of These Broken Stars fans. And if anyone knows me well, I LOVED These Broken Stars. And I am also currently loving Achilles. It’s super fast paced and entertaining and I cannot wait to finish this later this week!

AchillesThe year is 2221, and humans have colonized an earthlike planet called Thetis in the Silver Foot Galaxy. After a tragic accident kills off dozens of teenage colonists, Thetis’s leaders are desperate to repopulate. So the Mayflower 2, a state-of-the-art spaceship, sets off across the universe to bring 177 new recruits to the colony.
For Jonah Lincoln, an orphaned teen who’s bounced between foster homes and spent time on the streets of Cleveland, the voyage is a chance to reinvent himself, to be strong and independent and brave the way he could never be on Earth. But his dreams go up in smoke when their ship crash-lands, killing half the passengers and leaving the rest stranded–not on Thetis, but on its cruel and unpeopled moon, Achilles.
Between its bloodthirsty alien life forms and its distance from their intended location, Achilles is far from an ideal resting place. The situation is already dire, but when all of the adults suddenly disappear, leaving the teenage passengers to fend for themselves, Jonah doubts they’ll survive at all, much less reach Thetis. Especially when it appears Achilles isn’t as uninhabited as they were led to believe.

And that is it for today! I hope you enjoyed today’s post. be sure to comment down below what books you are all currently reading because I would love to know! Also, don’t forget to like and follow to stay up to date with all of my future posts!

Happy Reading,
