Teaser Tuesday #39

TEASER

Hey everyone, and welcome back for another Teaser Tuesday! These are my absolute favorite posts and it sucks how late I am writing this. But, if there is anything you should know about me, it’s that I am horrible at time management. And, usually blogging gets kicked back to the end of my night. So, be prepared for some later posts! But, I am currently reading a super cool book with a spooky cover that I am excited to share with you today!

As though sensing me watching, Chet turned his eyes toward mine. We held that gaze for no longer than three or four seconds, but in that moment, it felt much, much longer. I dropped my eyes to his mouth, which had more color from the repeated pressure of kissing, the same way slapped skin deepens with blood. Chet watched me back, a strange, wishful tension in his eyes. It put me on alert.

I absolutely adored the first two books in Becca Fitzpatrick’s Hush, Hush series, so when I saw this one at a used book sale for a really reasonable price, I took advantage of it. I’ve been reading this for only 3 days now and I am flying through it. I only have about an hour, two if I’m lucky, to read, so it’s great wen I pick up a really enjoyable book! The cover of this story is super creepy, and gives me total Halloween vibes. Although the actual story doesn’t match that vibe, I still CANNOT wait to see how it ends!

Dangerous LiesA teen is forced to make a fresh start after witnessing a violent crime—but love and danger find her anyway in this novel from Becca Fitzpatrick, the New York Times bestselling author of the Hush, Hush saga.

Stella Gordon is not her real name. Thunder Basin, Nebraska, is not her real home. This is not her real life.

After witnessing a lethal crime, Stella Gordon is sent to the middle of nowhere for her own safety before she testifies against the man she saw kill her mother’s drug dealer.

But Stella was about to start her senior year with the boyfriend she loves. How can she be pulled away from the only life she knows and expected to start a new one in Nebraska? Stella chafes at her protection and is rude to everyone she meets. She’s not planning on staying long, so why be friendly? Then she meets Chet Falconer and it becomes harder to keep her guard up, even as her guilt about having to lie to him grows.

As Stella starts to feel safer, the real threat to her life increases—because her enemies are actually closer than she thinks…

As always, thank you for stopping by and I hope that you enjoyed this post. Definitely leave a comment down below with what you are currently reading! I would love to know. Also, don’t forget to like and follow to stay up to date with future posts.

Happy Reading,
Alaina
