Versatile Blogger Award

VERSATILE

I have been nominated by the lovely Angelica over at The Book Cover Girls for this award. She’s done this award numerous time on her blog, and I definitely recommend checking it out. Angelica does amazing posts every week, and you should definitely click the “follow” button on her blog!

I’m super excited to share some unknown facts about me today, so let’s get straight into this!

The rules…

  • Thank the bloggers who nominated you and share their links
  • Nominate at least 10 bloggers for the award and provide links to their blogs.
  • Also inform them about their nomination.
  • Reveal 7 facts about yourself that your readers may not know

Now onto the facts…

I am very short. And when I say that, I mean that I am shorter than the average height for my age. I am pretty sure fourteen -year-old, alike me, average at about 5’3″. And then there’s me 5’0″ and 1/2. I always like to make the extra half count! But although you are prone to be made fun of with a shorter height, there’s nothing about it to make you non-confident. I think it’s actually kinda fun to be the shorter person walking down the halls at school. The only part that I hate is that I m constantly asking people to grab things for me from higher shelves.

I cannot swim. Sounds crazy, right? But, I took swimming lessons for almost four years (maybe more?) and I can do no more than a doggy paddle. With that said, I also HATE deep bodies of water, such as oceans and deep pools. Since I suck at swimming, I like to know that I can touch the bottom.

I really like shopping. And, not just for books. Although I love to browse through Chapters’ selection for hours, I also really like to shop for clothes, makeup, and decor. I love searching for new jeans and t-shirts; concealer and eyeshadow. I am in NO way a stylish person or good at makeup, but staying up to date with the latest trends is always good. I am currently waiting for stores to stock up on their fall collections so that I can buy some jeans, knitted sweaters, and flannels.

I don’t watch TV or movies. If it’s something hyped, maybe. But for the most part, I don’t watch them. The last TV shows I watched and finished were Riverdale and Stranger Things. My friends were all addicted to them so I just had to give them a go! I have tried watching other series too, but I’ve never been able to finish them. As for movies, I hardly watch them. I do really want to see the adaptation for Everything, Everything, since I recently finished the book. But I’m not really interested in anything else.

I am a VERY picky eater. Probably not as much as most people, but I won’t eat a lot of things. The number one food that I hate is mayonnaise. It seriously wins for ickiest condiment. I also am not a fan of ketchup, fish, meat with bones, ham, and a million other things. I try to eat a lot of plant-based foods over meat and dairy. I am also a sweet tooth – I love fruit, candy, and chocolate ❀

I have an urge to travel the world, and experience new things. SO, I guess you could call me “wanderlust.” I’ve been to many places in the past, including Hawaii, Mexico, Orlando, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, and many other airports. Those are just a few of the places that we’ve vacationed to or spent the night in. But most of all, I want to travel to New York and spend a chilly night in a coffee shop. I want to go to bookstores, watch a broadway show, experience the thrill of Times Square and live as a New York person for a week of my life. A girl can dream, right?

I’m an October baby and my birthday falls on October 17. I always find it creepy how my birthday is in the month of horror and is on an odd day. But, according to horoscopes, libras are some of the nicest people!

My nominations…

Hope you all have a fun time with this. If you’ve already done it on your blog, don’t worry about it.

And that is all for today! I hope you enjoyed today’s post. I had a super fun time revealing some of my little secrets, and I hope that the people tagged above do too. Don’t forget to like, comment and follow to stay up to date with all of my future posts.

Happy Reading,
Alaina

  1. I find mayo tolerable but I absolutely HATE mustard and pickles! Just thinking about them makes me cringe. Who knows, you might end up being really tall once you’re done with puberty. You still got time πŸ™‚

    1. Agh Mayo is disgusting. But, I actually like both mustard and pickles, so I guess we are opposites. Sadly, I haven’t grown in over two years so I don’t think I will be taller.

    1. I’ve never tried an olive before but I like radishes. And yes, it’s so easy to travel. Especially in airplanes! We aren’t prone to hit or heads!

      1. my parents always forced me to eat radish and now i hate it. i don’t touch any food when i know that radish is in there or came close to it πŸ˜‚

  2. Aww – I feel ya hun. I’m just shy of 5’1 myself and I always where platform sneakers or shoes that have some sort of heal just so I can appear taller.
Omg – same here. I’m such a shopper. It’s not even funny. I will go shopping with no intention in mind as to what I want to buy and only a few hours later I’m with bags under each arm. My personal favorite stuff, apart from books to shop for are shoes and hair accessories (I love wearing flowers in my hair lol).

    1. The struggle of short people. Haha. I’ve never bought a pair of heels or anything but I plan to get little booties for the fall with a bit of heel! Shopping is something that I really love to do, but most times I don’t end up finding anything!

  3. I think out of all the tags that I’ve seen of this, you’re the only one that said you were excited to share facts and not complained about how they were. So much props. πŸ˜‰ That New York adventure sounds amazingggggg. It sounds like such a brilliant time. What did you think of Stranger Things?? Wonderful facts, Alaina, and thanks so much for tagging me (and the contact ;)) ❀

    1. Haha! Well they didn’t state that i had to share embarrassing facts about me. And, I love being able to share a little bit about myself every once in a while, so how could I complain? Stranger Things was great! Definitely a creepy show to watch at midnight, but I enjoyed it ❀
