Top 5 Wednesday: Book Covers You’d Live In

TOP 5

Hey Book Nerds, and welcome back for another Top 5 Wednesday! For this week, I am going to be talking about some of the covers that I would live in. I’ve seen bloggers talk about book worlds they would like to live in, but never covers. Maybe we need to start a new trend because there are a million covers that I would live in. But for now, I’m just going to be talking about my top 5!

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly blog meme hosted by Lainey and Samantha. If you are interested in joining, you can click HERE!

  1. The Unexpected EverythingThe Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson:
Who doesn’t want to live in this cover? Dogs? CHECK! Ice cream? CHECK! Summer? CHECK! So many amazing things are on this cover, and the story is just as amazing. The cover features a park, or possibly a street on what looks to be a pleasant summer day. There’s an ice cream truck in the background numerous types of cones and popsicles, and a whole lot of dogs. Really, who doesn’t love dogs? They are so adorable, and there are six of them on the cover! I can’t imagine myself in Andie’s position (because I literally can’t even walk one dog), but I would love to just enjoy the Stanwich sunshine and grab a vanilla ice cream from the truck!
  2. Alex, ApproximatelyAlex, Approximately by Jenn Bennett:
Although this cover is filled with muted yellows and oranges, you can’t help but think of summer! There is obviously a pool party happening, but the real question is: what’s with the sheet in the background? I can’t quite figure out if it is just a piece of decor or if the party-goers plan to project a movie on it. But, the decorations on the cover make this look like the perfect summer night party! Twinkle lights dangle across the yard, a large spotlight brightens up the space and a colourful bunting adds a pop up colour to the rather dark area. I would love to sit on one of those pool floaties and just enjoy the night!
  3. To All the Boys I've Loved Before (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, #1)To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han:
Let me just start with this: Lara Jean’s bedroom is to die for! Although it’s very plain, it gives off a super cute vibe. From what you can see from the cover, Lara Jean’s walls are painted a plain white, but they are decorated with what seem to be a few things that are special to her. There are a few noticeable photographs, some jewellery and what looks to be a wreath. Her bed is very simple, with a flower printed white duvet/comforter, a striped throw blanket and numerous pillows. It also looks as if she has a few plants. I’ve always wanted a super bright room and that is exactly what Lara Jean has!
  4. I Was HereI Was Here by Gayle Forman:
I actually do not know if the cover has anything to do with the book, but it is gorgeous. It looks as if it was a photograph from England or Scotland. Somewhere very hilly. The girl on the cover looks to be dressed for a colder climate and seems to be walking along the edge of a road. In case you didn’t know this about me, I love cooler weather. Autumn is my happy season where I get to bring out all of my jeans, flannels, knitted sweaters and scarves. I get to sip pumpkin spice lattes as the leaves fall of the trees and enjoy brisk walks down auburn streets. The cover of I Was Here just screams “Autumn!” I can just imagine myself standing there with a coffee in my hand, looking out at the beautiful scenery.
  5. Isla and the Happily Ever After (Anna and the French Kiss, #3)Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephenie Perkins:
If anyone knows me they will know that two of my favorite things are New York and the colour green. And if you couldn’t tell, this cover features both of those things. There is a faint NYC skyline featuring the famous Empire State building. The background features another beautiful Stephanie Perkins ombre, but this time in green. It is such a gorgeous book cover. As for why I would want to live in this cover, I honestly just want to walk the streets of Manhattan. Go sight-seeing, hit up a bunch of bookstores and trendy cafes, and experience the crazy bipolar New York weather.

That’s all for today! This list was actually compiled of a bunch of books I haven’t read yet, so please don’t spoil me in the comments. They just all have such gorgeous covers.
