Bookalicious Book Club (Details + July BOTM)

1498180692808Hey Book Nerds! Me and Emily @ Who Gave The Write have recently decided to stat a book club together. And it starts this month! But, you know me, always late when it comes to getting posts up on time. But, three days isn’t too late, right?

Anyways, today’s post is just going to explain a little bit about our book club. I wouldn’t say that it is anything super different from your everyday, general book club, but I can guarantee that it will be a lot of fun! So, let’s get into all of the details!

BOOK CLUB DETAILS:

We’re going to be going by your basic, generic, book club routines. Basically, we will be picking either a popular book, a new release, or a book that seems fitting for that month to read. It could be from a variety of genres but, we are probably going to keep it based in the YA age range. On the odd time we may read a middle-grade or an adult book, but for the most part we are going to be picking YA novels.

If you worry about prices for books, don’t worry! I am such a picky book shopper since I am always trying to save money! We are going to be trying to choose books that are in a variety of formats so you guys have the opportunity to choose the book from a variety of prices. If you are from a foreign country, we will try our hardest to find books that are written in numerous languages. We can’t promise anything since new releases usually originally become published in English and move on to other languages if it is successful.

At the end of each month, we plan to have discussions over on our Goodreads page. It is currently still being set up but, we plan to have all of our announcements, and discussions over there. We also have a “bookstagram” page that will have monthly announcements and cool bookish pictures! We recommend that you use the hashtag #bookaliciousBOTM when posting on Instagram to let us know if you are joining. Scroll to the bottom of this post to find the links.

That’s pretty much it for all of the details, now on to the Book of The Month for July!

For July we have chosen to read The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson! This book was released last year and has been sitting in our TBR piles since then. But, this book sounds perfect to read during the blisteringly hot heat of summer whether you plan to be by the poolside or grabbing an ice cream cone at the local parlor. And, this book was also recently released in paperback! Here’s some information about the book!

The Unexpected EverythingAndie had it all planned out. When you are a politician’s daughter who’s pretty much raised yourself, you learn everything can be planned or spun, or both. Especially your future. Important internship? Check. Amazing friends? Check. Guys? Check (as long as we’re talking no more than three weeks).

But that was before the scandal. Before having to be in the same house with her dad. Before walking an insane number of dogs. That was before Clark and those few months that might change her whole life. Because here’s the thing—if everything’s planned out, you can never find the unexpected. And where’s the fun in that?

Here’s our links if you are interested in joining!

AND, THAT’S IT FOR TODAY! We hope that you can join us this month, and in future months! Don’t forget to like, comment and follow for more posts!

Happy Reading!
