Hey Book Nerds, and welcome back for another Top 5 Wednesday! This week’s topic is “side ships,” and I am super excited for it! I really don’t think I talk about the side ships in novels too much. There are just so many, but I am always obsessing over the protagonist’s relationship. I feel like there are always side ships but I am just too blind to notice them. But, I put together my top 5 side ships for today’s post! Hope you enjoy!

ELIDE AND LORCAN – THRONE OF GLASS
Ahhh if there was any side ship that I wanted to sail into the horizon, it was Elide and Lorcan! They were so cute and perfect for each other! From what I remember, both characters were introduced in the third book, Heir of Fire, but didn’t actually get together until Empire of Storms. I was really weary with the relationship between these characters. The true of them never were a “true” couple, which although I definitely wanted to see that, I don’t think it would have worked. Elide is a human with witch roots, while Lorcan is a fae who is blood-tied to the EVIL MAEVE. It just wouldn’t work out. But after reading Heir of Fire, I couldn’t help but ship them together! And even, Elide’s last name is so similar to Lorcan’s name. Lochan – Lorcan. You see the similarities?!CECILY AND GABRIEL – THE INFERNAL DEVICES
I promised myself that I would only put one ship from Cassandra Clare in this post, and I couldn’t help but go with Cecily and Gabriel! They were just the most badass couple ever! Gabriel came off as the brooding, moody Lightwood brother when he was first introduced. And Cecily was a very moody, depressed young girl when she first walked into the institute, but quickly became a fighter! So there are many similarities between the two. But, when they were first introduced to each other, it was love at first sight! I seriously think that I could’ve read a Cecily/Gabriel story!ADAM AND DEE – LUX
Ahh the two food lovers! I’m almost definite that food brought these two aliens together. When Dee first revealed her boyfriend in Obsidian, I couldn’t help but be curious as to how his personality would compare to Dee’s. Dee is that over-the-top happy, sugar rush girl who never fails to put smile on someone else’s face. Whereas, Adam is a peacemaker who always searches for an opportunity to resolve an argument. Their personalities don’t really work together, but they are definitely a powerhouse couple! They are such an innocent couple that I couldn’t help but ship them!CLARKE AND ROLLY – JUST LISTEN
I actually just read this recently but I absolutely fell in love with these two characters! Neither of the characters are in the novel too often, but their ship MUST SAIL! They were one of the absolute cutest couples I have ever read about! Clarke was an athletic girl who wore glasses and had bad allergies when she was first introduced. But we didn’t really get to see her in the story until approximately a year after she was introduced. Rolly on the other hand was a radio show host and a lover. of pancakes. Let me also tell you that he was obsessed with Clarke before he even knew her name! I was so happy when these two ended up falling in love with each other!SCARLET AND WOLF – THE LUNAR CHRONICLES
Who doesn’t love Scarlet and Wolf?! I was kind of scared for the new characters when I started reading Scarlet. I was so obsessed with Cinder’s story that I had no clue what to expect. But, I quickly ended up falling in love with Scarlet and Wolf. They were GOOOAAAALLLLSSSS! It all started off with a tomato farm in Toulouse, to n adventure in Paris! Like, wooo the city of love! Wolf was such a caring man throughout the whole story and I absolutely loved it. He treated Scarlet as every man should!
THAT’S IT FOR TODAY! I hope you enjoyed my answers! Don’t forget to like, comment, and follow for more posts!
Happy Reading

I really want to read Empire of Storms if only for the Lorcan x Elide ship. Everyone has talked about it and I want to see where it goes. I also love Scarlet and Wolf. Next to Thorne and Cress, they are my favorite. I honestly love all the Lunar Chronicle ships!

I’m pretty sure that you said on your blog that you were disappointed in QoS. But, EOS is really good and I think you should continue! Slow in parts, but the ships make it so much better. Sadly, I haven’t got to Cress yet.

Yeah, I really hope I like EoS more than QoS. And Cress is so, so good! It’s my favorite in the Lunar Chronicles. I hope you like it when you get to it.
