Teaser Tuesday #24

teaser-tuesday

Hey Book Nerds! It’s Tuesday and that calls for a brand new teaser! I’m actually really excited for this one because it is from a book in a genre that I don’t read to often. So yup, if you were able to guess from that, it is a contemporary! I have been really enjoying contemporaries recently so I decided to pick up another one. But, there’s something really different about this one. It. Is. An. Adult. Book. Yup, you read that right. This fourteen year old is reading an adult book. But, age range can’t stop me from reading a book.

Anyways, let’s get straight into the teaser:

In the center of the room stood a black wheelchair, its seat and back cushioned by sheepskin. A solidly built man in white collarless scrubs was crouching down, adjusting a man’s feet on the footrests of the wheelchair. As we stepped into the room, the man in the wheelchair looked up from under shaggy, unkempt hair. His eyes met mine, and after a pause, he let out a bloodcurdling groan. Then his mouth twisted and he let out another unearthly cry.

I’m not too far into this book but I am SUPER DUPER excited for it! Everyone was reading I when the movie came it and raving about it. SO, obviously I had to read it at some point. I know that I am probably going to cry in this book, but I think I am in need of a good, emotional book.

Here’s the synopsis:

Me Before You (Me Before You, #1)Louisa Clark is an ordinary young woman living an exceedingly ordinary life—steady boyfriend, close family—who has never been farther afield than their tiny village. She takes a badly needed job working for ex-Master of the Universe Will Traynor, who is wheelchair-bound after an accident. Will has always lived a huge life—big deals, extreme sports, worldwide travel—and now he’s pretty sure he cannot live the way he is.

Will is acerbic, moody, bossy—but Lou refuses to treat him with kid gloves, and soon his happiness means more to her than she expected. When she learns that Will has shocking plans of his own, she sets out to show him that life is still worth living.

A love story for this generation, Me Before You brings to life two people who couldn’t have less in common—a heartbreakingly romantic novel that asks, What do you do when making the person you love happy also means breaking your own heart?

THAT’S IT FOR TODAY! I hope you enjoyed this week’s teaser! Don’t forget to like, comment and follow for more posts!

Happy Reading!
