Top 5 Wednesday: Books For Your Hogwarts House

“Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
if you’ve a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind”

Hey Book Nerds! Welcome back, or welcome in general, to my blog for another Top 5 Wednesday! I am super excited for this week’s topic because I hardly ever talk about Harry Potter on my blog. Like EVER. But that is because sadly I haven’t been able to get into the Harry Potter bandwagon. I originally read the first 3 books in 2015, but I haven’t been able to get myself copies yet to continue. BUT I WILL!

But, I have made a Pottermore account because, how could I resist finding out my house? And it turns out that I am a Ravenclaw, which I think really makes sense! But technically, we have a bit of all of the houses within us.

So today, I am going to recommend some of my favorite books that remind me of Ravenclaw!

  1. PRIDE AND PREJUDICE BY JANE AUSTEN:
I really don’t know what type of Ravenclaw wouldn’t read the famous classics! Holy, if anything screams intelligent and wise, it is someone who can sit down and read a classic. They are historic and can teach you so much! Although I haven’t read this particular classic, I believe that this one is probably the most famous.
  2. WEIRD GIRL AND WHAT’S HIS NAME BY MEAGAN BROTHERS:
Every Ravenclaw has a bit of an inner nerd to them. Some show it to others, while others keep it in. But, if there is any nerdy story that I would recommend, it is definitely this one! It showcases the insecurities of nerds, and how nerdy people truly can be! Luna Lovegood, go read this and let your nerdy side FREE!
  3. LEGEND BY MARIE LU:
I have a HUGE feeling that a Ravenclaw would love to give in and read a good fantasy/dystopian, so I couldn’t help but squeeze this one in! Ravenclaws being intelligent and all, I feel like they would love to read a dystopian. Since Legend is set in the future, it features futuristic technology and softwares that they would be amazed by!
  4. A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES BY SARAH J. MAAS:
Since we all know that Belle is a Ravenclaw, how could I help but put in a Beauty and the Beast retelling! I feel like Ravenclaws would be able to relate to Feyre SO MUCH! She is kind, generous, loves to learn and is the wisest out of her 3 sisters. The rest of the story sounds a bit more… Gryffindor, but I feel like a Ravenclaw would still pull through and read it! And even, the second book is Ravenclaw blue.
  5. CLOCKWORK ANGEL BY CASSANDRA CLARE:
I don’t think there is any reason that I shouldn’t put this book in here. Books are a huge part of this novel and there are constant mentions of classics such as Great Expectations.  There are also quotes from classics throughout the novel. If that doesn’t sound like a Ravenclaw novel, I don’t know what would!

THAT’S IT FOR TODAY! Unfortunately, since I haven’t really read HP yet, I wasn’t able to go super in depth with my answers, but it will suffice. I hope you enjoyed! Don’t forget to like, comment and follow for more!

Happy Reading!
