May Wrap-Up + Haul

Hey Book Nerds! Another month has passed and that calls for a monthly recap! May definitely wasn’t my best month for reading, because of school starting to come to an end. But, I was able to squeeze in 6 books. And all of them were amazing! I will admit, over half of the books I read last month were rereads but, I was in need of reading some familiar books. Anyways, let’s get straight into this month’s review!

WRAP-UP:

• Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout

In total, I only actually read 2 new books. I started off the month by finishing my physical collection of the Vampire Academy books. I currently own the first 4 books and am hoping that I will be able to find the last 2 at the next used book sale I go to! Sadly, after I finished Blood Promise, I fell into a slight book slump *ugh*. I attempted to read a few different books but none of them seemed to work. So, I went back to my usual book slump cure of rereading some of my favorite books! I ended up rereading 3 of the Lux books, skipping over both Onyx and Opposition in my reread.

HAUL:

• A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
• Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare

No, I haven’t read either of these books yet. No, I do not plan to get to them for a few weeks. Am I tempted to read them, Definitely. Can I hold back the temptation? NO. Haha. So I actually didn’t have any plans to buy books this past month. You know Walmart’s jingle, “save money live better?” That’s what my life kind of revolves around. So most months I plan to just save my money… unless Chapters is having some KILLER sales. AND THEY DID! I was able to find a paperback copy of ACOMAF for only $10! Which is actually about $5 off of the Canadian price! And, I was also able to find a copy of LOS, on release day, for 40% off. Like holy, if I can get 40% off the expensive Canadian price, you betcha I will be running to the store!
