Top 5 Wednesday: Books That Would Make Good Video Games!

Hey Book Nerds! It’s been a while since the last time I did a T5W but, I’ve been on a total roll with posting this week! I’m so exciting to get back into all of the little segments that I post on my blog! As you can tell by the title, this week’s topic is “books that would make good video games!” Although I don’t play any video games, this is such an interesting topic to relate to books. So now, without further ado, let’s dive into my top 5!

  1. Throne Of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
Who wouldn’t think of this series as an epic video game? Corrupt Kingdom? Check! Assassin? Check! Violence? Check! Weapons? Check! Hmmm.. that sounds pretty epic to me! I don’t know if I would want it to be with the exact same characters though. I feel like you could have a choice with which book you wanted to “play.” Like if you picked Heir of Fire, you could visit Wendlyn, or if you picked Empire of Storms, you could pick which character you wanted to fight as. **I suggest Lysandra because who wouldn’t want to be a sea-dragon?**
  2. The Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout
So this one definitely wouldn’t be as intense as Throne of Glass but there would definitely be some intense fighting. In the series we get to see some Arum and Luxen fights. Okay, actually a lot of fights. But I think it would be super cool to have a video game of the Arum and Luxen fights. I know, I know, there are a lot of player vs. player games but, none of them have a Daemon Black in them. Hehe
  3. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Hmm, this one was kind of a no-brainer for me. Alike the previous ones I think it would be super cool to play as different characters. Nina, Inej, Wylan, Kaz, Matthias, and Jesper are all such unique characters in their own ways! I think it would be super cool t play as one of the characters and break into the Ice Court. If this was a game, I would definitely play as Nina!
  4. The Secret Diamond Sisters by Michelle Madow
Unlike the last three books, this one would be more of a roleplay novel. I kind of think it would be a mix of “sims” and “episode.” It would probably be a very interactive game where you could pick ne of the sisters and mess with their storyline. It would be super cool to take a turn on one of the sister’s story and completely turn it around!
  5. Illuminae by Amie Kaufman
I swear, Sci-Fi books always work out best as video games. This book is kind of a video game in a whole. I think it would have to stick with the storyline but sorry boys, I’m going to have to make you follow a pink-haired Kady! I don’t really think the story would work out good if it followed Ezra, so Kady it is. I definitely want it to follow all the way from before the attack to the end of the novel, and then possibly have a level two of Gemina!

THAT’S IT FOR MY INSANE BOOK-TO VIDEO GAME ADAPTATIONS! I had a super fun time writing up this post and I hope you all enjoyed it! Don’t forget to like, comment and follow for more posts like this!

Happy Reading!
