Daemon Black Book Tag! (original)

Hey Book Nerds! Can you believe it?? I. Created. A. Book. Tag!!! *squeals*. As most of you know, I am a huge fan of the Lux series by Jennifer L, Armentrout. So, I thought it would be fun to create a tag based on my favorite Lux character, Daemon Black! I haven’t seen anyone do a tag like this before, so I put together some Daemon-y questions. Hope you enjoy!

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION OF DAEMON BLACK?

Cocky. Arrogant. Rude. Handsome. Hot. Sexy. Anything along those lines basically. When I first read about Daemon Black in the first chapter of Obsidian, all of those words just ran through my head. Like hey, you’ve got nice abs, but you don’t have to shove them in a short girl’s face. But really, I don’t think Katy minded at all. But on the other hand, he was super rude then and definitely deserved the “dickhead” comment Katy gave him!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FEATURE OF HIS?

Definitely his eyes and hair. I don’t think you would ever be able to find a hot guy with eyes as vibrant as Daemon’s unless they wear contacts. And that is a big NOPE unless they need them to see. So there goes my dreams of a Daemon Black in my life. I also really loved his hair! A lot of fictional guys these days have tousled dark hair, kind of like bed head. And I am obsessed with it! A Daemon Black in my life would be very helpful for my eyes!

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT HIS PERSONALITY?

I really love how much he loves his family. After reading Oblivion, I really got to see that he was only rude to Katy because he wanted to protect his family. But after he mutates Katy, she becomes a part of him; his family. He never wants his family to get hurt or known and protects them with all he has. And really, his love for Katy is infinite.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE DAEMON SCENE?

Omg. I don’t even know why I made this question because I have too many answers of this. Of course, chapter 1 was very memorable for me. I also loved all of the times that he saved Katy from danger because… THE FEELS. But one of my favorite scenes was when Daemon confessed his feelings about his brother in Obsidian. I’m pretty sure they went out to the rocks at the lake then and it was super sad. It was the first time we saw Daemon show real emotion, aside from happiness.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE DAEMON QUOTE?

I really loved the quote, “Did you think you could stop me? I’ll burn the world down to save her.” It shows Daemon’s love for Katy on the highest level possible. I don’t remember which book this was from but I think it’s from Origin. It sounds like it’s from the first quarter of the book when Kat was taken away. I just love it so much because it showcases Daemon and Katy’s romance as a whole!

WHAT BOOK WAS DAEMON YOUR FAVORITE IN?

Definitely Opal. Opal was the book where Daemon was the kindest any most sincere, before all of the traumatising events happened. I don’t know, I just found that Daemon was the best in Opal!

WHAT LUX COVER (FEATURING DAEMON) IS YOUR FAVORITE?

Probably either the original cover for Obsidian or the shiny cover for Opposition. Although I thought that the original covers looked like Daemon and Dee embracing (because Kat’s hair colour isn’t super dark in the novels, light brown), I kind of came on to love them anyways. They have a lot of story within them and showcase a lot that happens in the book. And then again, the cover of Opposition is super shiny and has a close-up of Daemon on it!

WHO WOULD YOU CAST AS DAEMON FOR A MOVIE ADAPTATION?

I have to go with Pepe Toth for this question. If you didn’t know, Pepe is a soccer player/model who just so happens to be the model on the Lux series covers. And I find that there couldn’t be anyone better suited to play him! He has the perfect hair and body to play him. And the contacts that he wore for the cover are drop dead PERFECT!

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A DAEMON LOVER?

I originally read Obsidian back in June 2015, so since then! I loved Daemon ever since I read the first chapter of Obsidian. And to date, I have read Obsidian 4 times, Onyx 3 times, the whole series 2 times and have flipped through the books every once in a while.

IF DAEMON WAS A REAL PERSON (LUXEN AND ALL), WOULD YOU DATE HIM?

TOTALLY! Holy, someone call the fire department if he was on Earth because there would be a bit of hotness overload if so. But seriously, who wouldn’t want to date this guy? Even if he is an alien.
