Hey Book Nerds! I haven’t done one of these posts in FOREVER. But, it’s Friday and I wanted to post again so why not? I love being able to recommend some of my favorite novels to all of you. And, I tend to read a few under-hyped books every so often so these are a perfect way to showcase some of my favorites! So, let’s dive right in!
SWEET EVIL BY WENDY HIGGINS!
- Synopsis:
What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences? This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels. Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She’s aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but Anna, the ultimate good girl, has always had the advantage of her angel side to balance the darkness within. It isn’t until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He’s the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna. Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?
- Why I Recommend This?
- This book follows Anna Whitt as she discovers her true identity and follows her destiny. And holy, that may not sound too good, but it is a MUST-READ!! Anna Whitt and Kaidan Rowe are such relatable and lovable characters. They reminded me a lot of Daemon and Katy from the Lux series.
- This book has been raved by quite a few popular bloggers and booktubers and bookstagrammers. It’s not that popular of a read so I think that says A LOT!
- It features Nephilim and a lot of things about the seven deadly sins. Each Nephilim has a father who is a duke of one of the deadly sins. Anna’s for instance is the “Duke Of Substance Abuse”. It’s super interesting to read as the Nephilim follow in their father’s footsteps!
- Ummm, if it isn’t obvious, this book cover is drop-dead gorgeous! I absolutely love how Anna’s dress makes a huge statement on the cover with its bright colour. I also really love how the background of the cover features the good and evil of Anna’s destiny!
If those few things didn’t convince you to read this book, I don’t know what would?!? If you still aren’t interested, I highly suggest you give it a try anyways. I hope you enjoyed this post. Don’t forget to like, comment and follow!
Happy Reading!
