Teaser Tuesday #13!

Hey book worms! Alaina here, and I am doing another Teaser Tuesday. AKA, my favorite posts. I don’t even really know why I like these posts so much, I just do!

In case you are new to my blog, Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish segment that I do here. Basically, I share a non-spoiler excerpt/quote from my current read, and talk about my overall current feelings for the book. Whether I’m loving it, or hating it and what I would currently rate it. I hope you all enjoy!

When I got to Patch’s console, I tapped a hand against the side of it to get his attention. In the calmest voice I could manage, I said, “Pac-Man? Or is it Donkey Kong?” In truth, it looked a little more violent and military. A slow grin spread over his face. “Baseball. Think maybe you could stand behind me and give me a few pointers?” Firebombs erupted on the screen, and screaming bodiessailed through the air. Obviously not baseball.

I haven’t had much time to read recently because of school. *sigh*. But, I have been able to read just above 100 pages in my current read since school started back up on Monday. But, I’ll probably try to balance my time between studying for my exams and reading!

I actually just got this book for Christmas, which is very surprising because I don’t think I’ve ever dived into my Christmas books as quick as I did this year. Hush, Hush is my 3rd Christmas book and I am really hoping it doesn’t disappoint because I am really enjoying it so far. If you want to know more about the book, read below:

A SACRED OATH
A FALLEN ANGEL
A FORBIDDEN LOVE

Romance was not part of Nora Grey’s plan. She’s never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how hard her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Patch draws Nora to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora’s not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is and seems to know more about her than her closest friends. She can’t decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For she is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen – and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost Nora her life.

This book is super swoony, with a slight creepiness to it, which I am really loving! Paranormal is my favorite genre so I already know that this book will be good. But, sadly I have heard that it is extremely similar to Twilight, and although I love Twilight, I don’t know if I’ll enjoy a knock-off book. But so far (luckily) it isn’t too close to Twilight.

I’m really enjoying the cast of characters in this book so far. Nora, Patch, Vee, Jules and Elliot are all super cool and I cannot wait to see what happens with them. Especially Mr. Swoon, Patch.

So far, I would probably rate this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. It hasn’t had any disappointment yet but I don’t think it fully deserves 5 stars.

Well, that’s it for today! I hoe you all enjoyed this post. Don’t forget to like and comment if you did!

Happy Reading!

~Alaina
