Hey everyone! I am so excited to finally introduce to you, Feature Friday. These posts will feature some of my favorite books of all time. I will be giving you all a little sneak peek into the book and also recommending it to you all. I’ve been wanting to do recommendations for awhile now but I’ve never wanted to make a whole recommendations post. So, I settled with a weekly non-spoilery review type of post. I hope you all like this idea as much as I do.
Now, if you’ve been following my blog for awhile, you could probably guess what the first recommendation will be but, if you haven’t been here that long, the first book is….
Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout!
This book follows Katy Swartz just after she moves from Florida to a small, unincorporated town near West Virginia’s Seneca Mountains. She never wanted to make the big move but finally agreed after she saw how much her mother was struggling with the loss of Katy’s father. And wow it was such a good decision for them to make the move! They ended up moving into a house right beside Daemon Black and his sister. They are stunning aliens who are hiding from their enemies. Katy befriends Dee but has quite the odd connection with Daemon. She likes him but also dislikes him at the same time. Unsure thoughts can sometimes end in love right? Katy and Daemon’s story is a must read for all readers! (well non-readers too but readers will enjoy it more)
You will definitely fall head over heels for Daemon Black. He is basically the definition of swoon-worthy fictional characters. The green eyed, tousled obsidian hair alien is one that you definitely won’t want to miss reading about.
This book is a book that lots of book bloggers can relate to. It’s not the rarest thing but, it is pretty rare to find a character that LOVES to read in a paranormal/science fiction book. It is even rarer to find a book blogger in a paranormal book. But here you do! This book has inspired many avid readers to blog (like Katy) about their love for books (me included). So, I definitely recommend that you pick up this book just because, or even if you’re interested in blogging.
That’s all I have for today! I can’t wait to write up next week’s Feature Friday but until next time, happy reading! ~Alaina
