Hello everybody! I meant to get this post finished earlier this week but I just haven’t been able to find the time to even start it. I feel like I’ve been starting to slump on you guys and whenever I actually find time to post, I don’t get a chance to draft it. It disappoints me that I’m unable to provide all of you with the best content possible but, hopefully this will change! I have a bunch of reviews to go up in the next few weeks and some of them are for really good books (like this one today)! So, since I just said how much I liked this book, lets not wait:
Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins

Embrace the Forbidden
What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences?
This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels.
Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She’s aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but it isn’t until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He’s the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.
Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?
My Thoughts:
I was so immensely in love with this book. The plot, the characters, everything. There wasn’t one dull moment throughout the whole entire book. I laughed, I cried, I smiled, I gleamed with joy and I even completely showed off my hatred for certain characters. Sweet Evil is one of those books that lets you experience millions of different emotions; some satisfying ones while others brought hatred to my eyes. Though throughout the book, I had one thought: Why doesn’t Anna disobey her father and do drugs? How dangerous could it really be? Lethal. Yes. But in other ways, she doesn’t have to overdose. So, basically if she disobeyed her father, she could’ve done something both fun and lethal. Okay, when i put it like that it sounds terrible.
The characters in this book were so unique compared to ones in others. I was expecting a lot of angel and demon resemblances but, instead we received a novel all about nephilim and their duke fathers. So, that’s where our two main characters come into play. Anna Whitt, a kind and loving southern girl and Kaidan Rowe, an English bad boy drummer. These two characters are nephilim who hold special powers that allow them to reach all of their senses out. In my personal opinion, Anna was just like your everyday regular main character alike Clary Fray. But then Kaidan comes into play. Oh Kaidan. Such a dreamy character. I think I might just take a nap now to dream about him. Just kidding. But really, the descriptions about him were so hot! And even, what’s a good paranormal book without a hot and sexy male character.
Aside from Kaidan and Anna, Wendy brought in a whole cast of other characters: Kopano, Marna, Ginger and Blake. And of course the rest of the characters. Can’t forget about Jay. that guy was one of the funniest characters I have ever read about. The way Wendy created these unique characters showcases what a creative mind she has. Her writing style is beautiful too. it all just flows together!
