December Book Haul, Wrap-Up and TBR || December 30

Hello everybody! The New Year is quickly approaching and that means both December and 2015 are coming to an end. It’s been a really good year and I couldn’t have thought of a better time to start my blog! During this year, I was able to get my hands on some of the incredible books that were released. Most of them I still haven’t read. LOL. But I guess 2016 will be when I tackle my TBR. December definitely wasn’t a good reading month seeing that I got way more books than I actually read. But it’s always good to have a lot of books on hand. Then it’s like pick and choose for the next book that you want to read. Anyways, I guess I will stop rambling and get on with showing you guys what I read this month…

Read Books:

As I said above, December was not a good reading month for me. I only finished one book and got myself stuck in the middle of three more. Right now, I am stuck in three totally different worlds that are overpowering my brain. The book I finished this month was one that my teacher gave me. It was titled “Accommodating a Broken Soul” and she gave it to me for empowerment. It was to show me that even at a young age, I could write a book. In case you guys didn’t know, I’m only thirteen. Now, I am currently stuck in the following three books: City of Glass by Cassandra Clare, Outlander by Diana Gabaldon and Oblivion by Jennifer L. Armentrout. All three of these books are amazing I just haven’t got to finishing them for multiple reasons. I started City of Glass back in November and my friend told me that a certain character was going to die and I just wasn’t ready to read about that certain character’s death so I started Outlander, not realizing how long it would be. So for the last month, I’ve been reading Outlander (thankfully I’m almost done it with 250 pages left.) But recently, I received Oblivion for Christmas and couldn’t help myself. So I started reading that. For those who didn’t know, Lux is my favorite series ever. I’ve read Obsidian multiple times and was ecstatic when i figured out that Jennifer L. Armentrout was coming out with a version of Obsidian in Daemon’s point of view. I seriously freaked out, guys.

So, of course I received a lot of books because that was practically all I asked for Christmas. In total I received seven books for Christmas and bought three. For Christmas, I got the whole Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas, Cinder by Marissa Meyer, Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff and Oblivion by Jennifer L. Armentrout. if you would like to read my descriptions of those novels, CLICK HERE. After Christmas, I went to Chapters, the Canadian version of Barnes and Noble, and I splurged on books with gift card money. I bought myself a copy of Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins (LUX super fan sitting right here), Diamonds are Forever by Michelle Madow and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I’ve waited the longest time to get my hands on a copy of Sweet Evil. Ever since I read Origin ***Spoiler*** and I got to the part where Dee gives Daemon and Katy illegal IDs with the names Kaidan Rowe and Anna Whitt written on them. Dee then explained how Katy let her borrow that book and she loved it. ***Spoiler*** I needed to get my hands on Sweet Evil. It’s a paranormal book and my favorite genre is paranormal. I also got myself a copy of Diamonds are Forever because Michelle Madow is one of my favorite authors ever. And then I practically searched the whole store looking for a copy of Pride and Prejudice. I didn’t even realize the adult section was in alphabetical order. Dumb me. but I’ve wanted to get into classics for quite awhile now but I always told myself that I wanted to start with Pride and Prejudice. I did read half of Wuthering Heights back in October and I never got to finish it. But I’ll get to that one day.

For January, there are a lot of books I want to read so I hope I can make out time for all of them. First of all, I really want to finish both Outlander and City of Glass. They are both amazing books and I can’t wait to finish both of them. In January, me and Pearl from Bibliopearl are going to be buddy reading After by Anna Todd. Go check out Pearl’s amazing blog and while your at it, go look at her Instagram. Her photography skills are amazing. If I have time at the end of the month, i’m going to see if i can squeeze in either Diamonds are Forever or The Raven Boys. I hope that i will be able to complete my TBR for January and then tackle the other 20 some odd books throughout the first five months of the year.

Happy Reading!
