At the moment, i am reading two books which is an unusual coincidence for me. I usually prefer to read one book at a time but, I needed a little change from The Mortal Instruments. So to simplify all of this, I am reading City of Glass by Cassandra Clare and Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.
I’ve been reading City of Glass for almost a week now and I’m about halfway through. Though I was getting a little bored from the series, I had to pick up another book while I take a little hiatus from TMI. I’m not saying the series is bad, it’s just a little too much for me right now. For those who don’t know what City of Glass is about, it follows the lives of an imprisoned Simon and a worried Clary. At the beginning of the novel, Jace attempts to change Clary’s mind about going to Idris, but in the end fails. Jace invites Simon to the Institute on the day of the portal opening for a final farewell. Everything went downhill from there. Simon turns up in Idris with the Lightwoods and later turns up in the Clave. Back in New York, Clary is able to create a portal that sends her tumbling into Idris. She later finds herself in a fight with Jace and falling in love with the endearing Sebastian. This book is amazing so far but, I’m just not ready to finish it right now.
OUTLANDER! I have no words to describe how amazing this novel is. I’m only ten pages in and I am fascinated by how detailed the writing is. And to go along with the novel, I started listening to the Outlander soundtrack from the TV show and it is perfection.
